This is a completely new turbocharger design, not a modified factory unit, producing 32% higher flow than the standard Golf 8 GTI turbocharger.

At the core is the high-quality, reverse-rotating Garrett GT2260S hull assembly, paired with a new-generation compressor housing prepared for an optional speed sensor, and milled compressor wheels with improved aerodynamics and increased pressure ratio. The high-temperature Mar-M alloy turbine wheel is paired with state-of-the-art turbine aerodynamics and a robust twin-scroll stainless steel turbine housing, both rated to withstand up to 1050°C. All original downpipes fit directly to the outlet of the exhaust housing, and the duct routing is flow-optimised for both power and efficiency.

Important safety limit: maximum allowable turbocharger speed is 186krpm. Exceeding this is at the owner's risk and can result in damage and premature failure. A machined speed sensor port is included in the compressor housing specifically to monitor this, compatible with Garrett's G-Smart Bluetooth Module (sold separately) or a standard speed sensor and gauge.
