BMW's factory charge and intake piping on the G01 X3 M40i and G02 X4 M40i is made from plastic, genuinely prone to failure under the increased boost pressure this turbocharged B58 generates, especially once tuning enters the picture. FTP Motorsport's combined kit replaces both the charge pipe and intake pipe at once, engineered specifically for genuine flow and reliability gains across the entire charge air path.

The mandrel-bent aluminium charge pipe replaces the brittle factory plastic piece, with increased piping size that reduces turbulence and maximises flow into the engine. The matching intake pipe replaces the original plastic hose between the air filter and turbo, one that genuinely won't expand under boost the way the factory piece can. This system eliminates the OEM sound chamber, resulting in increased turbo response alongside stronger mid-range and top-end power. Reinforced 3-ply silicone couplers, an O-ring, seal, and C-clip are all included for a complete, leak-free installation.

Important fitment note: this kit is specifically for 2017-2019 production models. A separate Gen 2 kit (B58D) exists for 2020+ X3/X4 M40i models, sold separately, confirm your exact build date before ordering.
