The result of testing numerous configurations across over 125 dyno runs, the Eventuri Carbon Fibre Intake System for the GR86 was refined specifically around the FA24 2.4L Boxer engine's sensitivity to intake air temperature. The stock airbox forces air through two separate 90-degree direction changes — into the front of the airbox, through the panel filter, then again through the MAF section - a genuinely restrictive path that Eventuri's patented carbon Venturi housing replaces with a far more direct route, using a reverse-mounted bespoke filter and integrated MAF section.
Because this naturally-aspirated flat-four is sensitive to heat, the priority throughout development was a fully sealed system, with the housing drawing from a sealed cold-air feed at the front of the car for consistently low intake temperatures. Dyno testing against a completely stock car showed increased peak torque and power for a genuine gain of 10-14hp and 10-11ft-lb - though worth noting honestly: testing also revealed a momentary power dip around 5700-6300rpm that persists across all intake configurations, a resonance characteristic of this specific engine rather than a flaw in any particular design.
