Constructed to deliver the best cooling efficiency during tough conditions, this intercooler is exclusively manufactured in aluminium with continuous welds, guaranteeing genuine reliability and endurance. The numbers: a 75% larger core volume than the OEM unit (15,811cm³ versus 9,056cm³), a 7% larger active cooling area (2,774cm² versus 2,587cm²), and 31% higher airflow at 0.15 bar/2.18psi pressure drop (462 CFM versus 353 CFM). Measured on a VW Golf GTI Clubsport Edition 45 with stock software, this translated to a documented +12hp peak power gain and +14Nm peak torque gain, alongside a 12°C lower post-intercooler air temperature under identical conditions (23°C versus 35°C stock). The perception that an intercooler is only worth upgrading after a major engine tune is genuinely false, though widely believed among car people, the engine pulls better across the entire rev range and withstands repeated full-throttle runs without building excess heat, even completely stock.
