The main challenge in designing a performance intercooler for the RS6/RS7 is the limited available space behind the front bumper and wheel arches, restricting core, tank, and ambient airflow size. do88 used every available millimetre of that space: a 50% larger core volume (10,063cm³ versus 6,689cm³ OEM), 29% larger active cooling area (958cm² versus 743cm²), and larger 70mm machined hose connections, a 37% increase over the OEM's 60mm, a step do88 identifies as one no other manufacturer has taken on this platform. Independent testing confirmed a 27°C lower inlet air temperature under identical conditions, and 16% higher airflow at 0.125 bar/1.81psi pressure drop (422 CFM versus 363 CFM stock).
