The efficiency of a turbocharged engine is under direct influence of intake air temperature (IAT) and backpressure in the system, and having sufficient airflow before the compressor is a crucial, often overlooked aspect. Less vacuum and colder air let the turbo produce a greater mass of air, ultimately meaning more air to the intake and noticeable power gains.

do88 started development by 3D-scanning the entire designated area on the car, working within a CAD environment using SolidWorks. The entire air filter system was optimised for airflow, with radiuses and angles reworked many times to achieve the best result, and the finished product was verified with both Computational Flow Dynamics (CFD) and do88's own Superflow SF1020 flow bench. The result is a genuine 32% higher airflow than OE (745 CFM versus 565 CFM at 0.1 bar/1.45psi pressure drop). The kit includes a 3D freeform-designed inlet hose made from the finest silicone in a black finish, a CNC-machined turbo inlet adapter, and top-quality hose clamps.
