Whether it's the Carrera's 3.0T or the Turbo/Turbo S's higher-output variant, the 992 platform shares a genuine design weakness: the OEM intercooler sits directly above the engine, absorbing radiant heat from below - a poor location that leaves the whole platform prone to power loss from heat soak, made worse the moment you add power. CSF's High-Performance Intercooler System, developed with a Formula 1 cooling systems partner, was the world's first high-performance intercooler for this platform, now proven on builds pushing over 1600whp.

At the core is a genuinely F1-grade intercooler core - a fundamentally different approach from traditional bar & plate or tube & fin designs, eliminating heat soak and lowering intake air temperatures far more efficiently while staying lighter and more compact. CNC-machined billet end tanks replace the OEM's more fragile construction, built to withstand higher boost from performance tunes or upgraded turbochargers. It's a genuine drop-in fit, using all factory mounting points with no cutting or modification required. Independent testing on a Turbo S running catless downpipes and a retune showed a real-world gain of ~16whp and ~60wtq from the intercooler upgrade and retune combined, while a Stage 1 tune on the Carrera S has shown gains as high as 146whp when paired with this intercooler.
