The MK3 Focus ST built a genuine cult following thanks to its good looks, nimble chassis, and capable 2.0L EcoBoost engine, and remains popular today as both a hot-hatch daily driver and a weekend track car. It was well engineered and performed admirably out of the box, but a few upgrades, or simply hard driving on track or in hot climates, can quickly lead to real heat issues. This radiator was developed specifically to solve that.
The factory radiator uses a plastic tank with a single-row aluminium core, standard for the average customer but not the best option for high-horsepower builds or hard driving, and turbo cars run hot, the 2.0L EcoBoost is no exception. CSF's 1-row, 31mm core uses their exclusive B-Tube technology, a specially engineered "B"-shaped tube carefully formed and brazed over the seam, increasing heat transfer surface area by approximately 15% over regular tubes for genuine dual liquid laminar flow, while allowing for thinner, lighter aluminium construction that's actually stronger than a normal welded design. One of the biggest advantages over the OE unit is the genuine triple-pass design, internal routing forces coolant to flow through the core three times rather than once, maximising heat dissipation for the lowest possible outlet temperatures and more even heat dissipation throughout, reducing hotspots and promoting more consistent cooling. 6.5mm tall, multi-louvered fins maximise airflow through the core, and 100% TIG-welded, all-aluminium construction increases overall strength and durability considerably over the factory design.
Works with: OEM mounting points and hose connections. True drop-in fit.
Why Choose This Radiator
