CSF Ferrari 488 GTB/Spider/Pista, F8 Tributo/Spider Twin Intercooler Set

Ferrari's F154 engine is a genuine marvel of engineering, extracting 660hp/560lb-ft from the 488, and up to 710hp/568lb-ft in the Pista and F8, out of just 3.9 litres. That takes around 35psi of boost to achieve, and even with highly efficient twin-scroll turbos, that generates a massive amount of heat. With multiple tunes now available for this platform, high intake air temperatures became an obvious limiting factor, and Ferrari owners and tuners had been waiting for the world's first genuine high-performance intercooler for the 488/Pista/F8.

CSF, together with its manufacturing partner PWR, answered that demand with Formula-1 grade cores featuring two rows of rolled cooling tubes with inner fins, a fundamentally more efficient approach than traditional bar & plate or tube & fin designs, eliminating heat soak and lowering intake air temperatures far more effectively. One of the real engineering challenges was fitting a genuinely more efficient core within the OEM's tight size constraints, so rather than relying purely on increased size the way many aftermarket intercoolers do, these cores achieve their efficiency gain through design alone. 100% TIG-welded, CNC-machined billet aluminium end tanks replace the OEM's stamped aluminium and brazed gasket design, itself already stronger than typical crimped setups seen elsewhere, but the billet construction far exceeds the pressure limits of both. Independently tested with a tuning partner on an F8 Tributo running upgraded turbos, exhaust, and a Stage 3 tune, the car made approximately 800whp and 600ft-lb consistently across four back-to-back runs, with intake air temperatures starting at 86°F and hitting just 95.4°F after the first pull, and by the fourth run, only an 11°F post-run increase, remarkably controlled heat soak at this power level.
