The F90 M5 and F9X M8 are truly worthy successors to the F1X platform, built around BMW's tried-and-true S63 twin-turbo V8 - a powerplant capable of genuinely big numbers. But as with any turbo engine, cranking up the boost for those bigger gains creates a lot more heat, and the factory charge-air coolers become a real limiting factor once you push past stock. CSF's High-Performance Charge-Air-Cooler Set was engineered specifically to keep intake air temperatures down while your power goes up - the world's first and industry-exclusive cast end tank design for this platform.

Using CFD analysis and testing, CSF built the largest charge-air-cooler that could physically fit in the factory location, resulting in a core volume ~100% larger than the factory units per side. The single-piece design integrates the charge pipe directly into a seamless air inlet end tank, creating the strongest possible system, while dual 1/8 NPT E85/methanol injection ports are built into the outlet end tank for genuine future power headroom. Designed with 3D scanning and rapid-prototype technology for precise OEM-style fitment, independent testing confirmed a significant reduction in intake air temperatures and a real-world improvement of ~0.3 seconds in 60-130mph acceleration.
