Push an F87 M2 hard enough at the track and you'll become intimately familiar with the oil temperature limp mode - extensive track testing shows engine oil temperatures on this platform can reach upwards of 137-138°C, triggering exactly that. The stock cooler simply isn't sufficient once temperatures climb, and beyond the immediate power reduction, sustained high oil temperatures accelerate oil deterioration and reduce lubrication to the N55.

CSF's Race-Spec Oil Cooler is the world's first and only true plug-and-play upgraded engine oil cooler for the N55 in the F87 M2. An innovative 2-core, in-series system pairs a front full-size core with 17 cooling tubes (versus the OEM's 15) with a secondary in-series backside cooler adding 5-6 additional rows of cooling - together delivering roughly a 40% increase in heat rejection. Built using CSF's AC condenser technology with a 1-row, super-high-pressure 26mm multi-channel microtube and a high-density multi-louvered fin design, the results speak for themselves: track tested at 39°C ambient (46°C heat index), the CSF cooler kept maximum oil temperature to 115°C - a genuine reduction from the 135-137°C that would otherwise trigger limp mode.

Works with: OEM oil-line connections, mounting brackets, and shroud/ducting - true drop-in fit, no modification required.

Installation note: requires an additional 0.5 quart of oil to fill correctly (OEM system takes 7 quarts; this upgraded cooler needs ~7.5 quarts total).

Why Choose This Oil Cooler

  • World's first plug-and-play upgraded oil cooler for the N55 in the F87 M2
  • Innovative 2-core in-series design - front core plus secondary backside cooler for ~40% more heat rejection

  • 17-tube front core - versus the OEM's 15 tubes, plus additional cooling rows on the secondary core
  • True drop-in fit - accepts all OEM oil-line connections, mounting brackets, and ducting
  • Genuinely solves a known, documented problem - not a theoretical upgrade
